About
Winnipeg has a vibrant and diverse culinary landscape. You can eat out every night for an entire year, and never eat at the same restaurant twice. And with a rich cultural mix, a diner can take a veritable culinary world-tour without ever driving more than a few kilometres.
With a multitude of specialty food stores and ethnic groceries a hop skip and jump from just about anywhere, this city has been undergoing a food renaissance of sorts. And the level of talent, knowledge and variety never ceases to amaze.
I started Savour Winnipeg for two reasons. First, it’s a way of documenting my experiences. Second, and perhaps most importantly, to inspire a dialogue about food–helping to explore and better understand this rich, fascinating, and at times, complex subject.
I hope you’ll feel free to agree, disagree, and contribute to the conversation and join me as I Savour Winnipeg.
